Research On The Sustainable Development Of Tourism In Xiangxi Based On The Ecological Footprint Model

Ecological footprint analysis is a new method to evaluate in a quantitative study of ecological human activities on the environment arising from the consumption and the study of regional sustainable development degree. Tourism ecological footprint is a kind of theory, based on the ecological footprint of the derived from the theoretical model, which is many scholars used to study sustainable development of tourism.The tourism industry has gained rapid development in recent years, known as the most potential industry in the world. Tourism has created great economic benefits, but at the same time, some scenic spots and tourism enterprises in the development and management of tourism resources there are many unreasonable phenomenon, bring a series of negative impacts to the local ecological environment and culture. How to quantitative evaluation of sustainable development of regional tourism is one of the difficulties and focus in the process of tourism research in recent years. In this paper, taking Xiangxi as the study area, quantitative and qualitative analysis on the tourism ecological footprint method, finally through the analysis of the sustainable development of Xiangxi tourism industry is evaluated according to the evaluation results, some conclusions and suggestions.This paper discusses five parts: the first chapter is the introduction part introduces the research background and significance of the research, and then put the status and research progress at home and abroad, the research of ecological footprint and ecological footprint of tourism are discussed, and finally puts forward the research methods and the technical route and possible innovation. Theory and the second chapter is the method of the ecological footprint concept and definition of the interpretation and description of model, and then is the ecological footprint of tourism ecological footprint and construction of the tourist six elements of the model, finally has made the evaluation of tourism ecological footprint method. The third chapter is the part of empirical research in the study area is the state of Xiangxi from 2009 to 2013 in the tourism ecological footprint, ecological carrying capacity and ecological deficit(surplus) are calculated and analyzed. The fourth chapter is based on the calculation and analysis of the previous results on the sustainable development of tourism in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture state evaluation and countermeasures are given and suggestions. The last chapter is the conclusion and Prospect of this research.The conclusion of this research is: Xiangxi tourism ecological footprint per person in 2009 to 2013 average is 208.9635 × l0-4hm2, the per capita ecological carrying capacity from 2009 to 2013 with an average of 150.3325 × l0-4hm2, average value per capita ecological deficit of 58.6310 × l0-4hm2. Thus, the state of Xiangxi tourism industry is in the state of unsustainable development.
