So how to reduce the time to market for product or service, which is also called the supply chain delivery lead time has become a research hotspot, The supply chain delivery time management mainly studies on the elements of supply chain lead time and its effects, and the strategies and methods of how to improve and shorten the delivery time cycle of supply chain as well, Supply chain delivery time has a great influence on performance of supply chain for enterprise, Through the research on the optimization method of supply chain delivery cycle time, to find ways and methods which can shorten supply chain delivery cycle time and win the competitive advantage, is of great practical significance for the survival and development of enterprises!As an important support for the development of modern commercial and logistics industry, gondola industry has been the rapid development since China’s reform and opening up. After nearly 20 years of development, there are more than 700 gondola manufacturers, the output value of gondola reached nearly 120 billion per year, However, with the development of electronic commerce, online shopping is becoming more and more popular, the traditional commercial supermarket business has suffered a great shock and challenge, In order to cope with the challenge, the traditional commercial supermarkets are increasingly seeking to adapt to the rapid changes to meet customer needs, for the opening of new stores and renovation store, Customers ask gondola supplier to follow up and meet the demand of the market, so all the shelf manufacturer are facing pressure not only in ensuring the quality but also the fastest delivery time, Therefore, it is particularly urgent for shelf industry to solve the problem for rapid delivery.This thesis bases on company Y which is one of the shelf manufacturing enterprises as the background, and introduces company’s development process and the challenge it is facing now. First, the thesis analyzes the supply chain to get the conclusion of that delivery ability has become one of the core competitiveness of enterprise survival and development. then it introduces the related theory that affected supply chain delivery cycle time, describes in detail the supply chain management and the delivery cycle theory, production plan and control theory, lean production and cell manufacture theory, Kan ban management, theory of postponement and theory of information system management, next it presents company’s supply chain status and problems, and further analyzes the causes that made these problems and how they impact the supply chain delivery time, the thesis takes how to shorten the supply chain delivery time as the goal in the competition environment, takes the implementation method as the research object, combined with the actual situation of the company, and puts forward to solutions such as improvement of planning structure and the approval process for orders, improvement of production management and control, cell manufacture, lean production, Kanban and postponement strategies etc. Moreover, by improving the production information management system to promote the working efficiency to shorten delivery time, putting forward the evaluation method for these improvements, the thesis proposes to make the preliminary evaluation for these solutions respectively from two perspectives of the qualitative and quantitative analysis, The result demonstrates the effectiveness of the improvement measures.The purpose of this study is that in the combination of the challenge that manufacturing and shelf production industry in China is facing, proposes how to use a variety of ways and means to solve the problems of enterprise current outstanding supply chain delivery, thus makes the enterprise optimize and shorten the delivery cycle, and improves the core competitiveness; Meanwhile this case has a universal reference value for the manufacturing especially shelves industry, and can push these methods to be widely used in industry and get researches’ further development.
