Research On ZQ Company’s Procurement,Inventory And Delivery

Chinese civilian water purifier industry has been gradually recognized by the community after several years’ development and precipitation in the market. Since year 2010, the entire industry has entered into a period of explosive growth. The huge temptation of the civilian water purifier industry has attracted investment from a lot of giants from other fields(such as traditional home appliance giants, solar thermal companies), they all strike to split the market share of the civilian water purifier industry. The direct response of such fierce competitive is the change of the customer’s willingness and the pricing system in this industry. The competition between companies through channels and shops also extended to the whole supply chain management. Maximizing the overall value of the supply chain to ensure that businesses can sustained and remain rapid development, which is the new.brace.The author introduced the background and significance of this paper firstly, and educed the theories which were learned from classes and books such as “push- pull supply chain theory, bullwhip effect theory, “and focus on the introduction of procurement management theory, inventory management theory(VMI),JIT theory, third-party logistics theory. Based on the guiding ideology of maximizing the overall value of the supply chain, in this paper the author re-examined the current supply chain system of ZQ Company from the respects of "purchasing, inventory and distribution", adopting the methods of comparison between theories and realities, after analyzing the causes of such situation and design a more scientific、suitable、and efficient management system and try to implement this strategy. The aim is to establish a sourcing resource/information sharing; the controlling of quality/cost forward leaded purchasing management system; vendor management inventory(VMI)’s inventory management model and establish a third party logistic delivery system. The ultimate purpose is to form a kind of "demand-driven, information sharing, forward- controlled, riskreduction, efficient functioning," supply chain management mechanism. Such new mechanism could meet the increasingly demand of competitive market and industry, which leads to better operational performance of the industry players.
