Research On Modern Service Industry Development In Hefei And Corresponding Promotion Countermeasures

With rapid development of science and technology as well as the speeding up of global trade, the industry structure has greatly changed. Since 1970, the service industry has developed with unprecedented scale and speed. Then at the beginning of the 21st century, services industry also changed in nature, because the knowledge and technology intensive services, which develops through information technology and modern management concept, are gradually distinguished from the traditional ones. Due to the rapid development of modern service industry, its development level has now become an important measuring symbol about the comprehensive competitiveness and the modernization degree of a country or a region.In 2013, the GDP of Hefei has reached 467.29 billion Yuan and the value of tertiary industry also added to 184.2 billion Yuan, with a growth rate of 10.6%, which is even faster than the national one by 2.3%and the provincial one by 1.1% respectively. But by comparison, we will find the inner structure is unreasonable and there also exists a huge gap with other provincial cities nearby, because the scale of emerging service industry is very small. So at the point of the layout planning for The thirteenth five-year development, evaluating modern service industry with a scientific method are very meaningful. If analyzing related issues and putting forward reasonable suggestions on the development of modern service industry, it will help Hefei government set up a scientific and reasonable countermeasures during the period of The thirteenth five-year development.This paper first reviews the former literatures about the meaning of modern service industry, its characteristics and classification. Second, introduces the current development about modern service industry in Hefei, uses the gray system model to assess the merits of the main factors that influence it, and then summarizes the deficiency on the basis of above analysis. Finally puts forward the countermeasures for the future development of modern service industry in Hefei.
