| In addition to high manufacturing and operating capacity, an enterprise should also have effective corporate culture as support in order to realize its development and expansion. Corporate culture refers to values, ideals and code of conduct formed by an enterprise and its members during a long-term process of production, operation and reforms, which has very obvious corporate characteristics. Under the condition of rapid economic development in the new era, such corporate characteristics play an important role in providing sufficient competitiveness to an enterprise and improving the condition for subsistence of the enterprise during structural reforms, which also serve as basic conditions for the management of an enterprise in establishing sustainable development strategies and provide nourishment for the mind of employees during their efforts to realize development of the enterprise.With continuous development and completion of China’s market economy, enterprises in China are facing increasing pressure of competition while ushering in the era full of opportunities. In addition to competition in production, competition among enterprises in cultural aspect is getting increasingly obvious. Therefore, China has been paying more and more attention to cultural construction of enterprises, which has become a regular and important content in construction and development of many enterprises. Against the background of increasingly fierce market competition, if an enterprise can grasp and handle the key point, namely corporate culture construction, in a proper way, it can take the initiative in market competition. In the aspect of international competition, China has experienced several significant economic and political reforms between the period shortly after the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 21st century, which involved new challenges and opportunities. China’s corporate system has experienced three significant reforms in the period from three great transformations to reform and opening up and then beginning of the new century. Joining the WTO also brings about unprecedented opportunities and crises. With rapid development of market economy system around the world, enterprises in China are facing opportunities of going abroad and developing emerging markets. Meanwhile, they are also facing the pressure of competing with world-famous enterprises. In the face of such pressure and limitations of state-owned enterprises formed during several decades of development, state-owned enterprises must establish corporate cultures which have economic and political characteristics of China and fit for their development in order to improve their competitiveness and popularity around the world and integrate with characteristics in construction of world-famous enterprises, which will enable them to adapt to market competition in the new era and maintain development and growth.Title of this paper is Problems in Cultural Construction of State-owned Enterprises and Discussion and Analysis on Countermeasures and this paper comprises of five sections.In the first section, reasons and significance of studying this topic and research strategy are explained.In the second section, relevant concepts about cultural construction of state-owned enterprises are introduced from five aspects, and in-depth analyses on definition of cultural construction as well as characteristics, contents and necessity of cultural construction of state-owned enterprises are conducted, which lay a good foundation for further research.In the third section, FAW Group is taken as an example, through which the current situation of cultural construction of state-owned enterprises is discussed in an in-depth manner and some researches are conducted, including researches on the historical course of cultural construction of China’s state-owned enterprises, successful experience of state-owned enterprises in cultural construction, current situation of cultural construction of state-owned enterprises as well as problems in cultural construction of state-owned enterprises and reasons for such problems.In the fourth section, strategies for effectively improving quality of cultural construction of state-owned enterprises is actively explored based on the foregoing researches and corresponding solutions are put forward. |
