In recent years, global business, diversified, industrial management has become an important strategy for transformational development of Chinese enterprises. In this trend, "cross boundary leaders" with cross boundary thinking, effectively mobilizing resources and forces are talent protection of enterprise development. Cross boundary leadership has also become an important concept which is popular with the leadership category. It meets realistic needs and has important significance. Currently, the market economic entities are in great changes among the deepening reform, the development of cross-border leadership has become an important talent strategy in order to meet the needs of group enterprises development.Group enterprises development is entering the industry, diversification and globalization, traditional single cross-cultural, cross-regional or cross-organizational leadership analysis has not fully resolved the dilemma of group enterprises Leadership Development. Cross boundary model is built based on managers’ leadership qualities for meeting the development strategy of group enterprises, is integration and innovation of traditional single "cross" Leadership. Difference of group enterprises development strategies constitutes different competency requirements of cross boundary leadership. Construction process of cross boundary leadership is based on three dimensions:breaking the original boundary, consensus building and the discovery of new boundaries, which is the thinking foundation of establishing cross boundary leadership. Cross boundary leadership has become focus of group enterprises leadership development, establishing complete leadership development system including self-learning, organization training to the relevant institutional supports is critical for continued ascent of managers cross boundary leadership.Nowadays, cross boundary leadership research gradually becomes a hot spot, which focuses on cross boundary leadership connotations and microscopic empirical study. The research field is involved in psychology and organizational behavior, management science. The majority of cross boundary leadership research begin with leadership constituent elements analyzing, such as communication skills, integration, innovation ability, emotional intelligence and IQ etc. Although cross boundary leadership includes the leadership factors, simple sum of the factors aren’t cross boundary leadership, the construction of cross boundary leadership model is the integration of leadership factors following the cross boundary thinking. The improvement of cross boundary leadership is based on cross boundary leadership model theory, the current study for leadership improvement is often limited to various modules of human resources, systems analysis, though, the lack of coordination and execution.In this study, through the analysis of cross boundary thinking and leadership maturity for leadership model and development influence, breaking limitations of single cross boundary construction of leadership model and over-reliance on enterprise training, cross boundary leadership development strategies are proposed in terms of human resources functions, corporate cultural, institutional arrangements etc. Meanwhile, with the help of case analysis:A Group Enterprise as traditional agriculture and animal husbandry industry leader is also in the enormous change facing current economic and social trends, for the change, A Group Enterprise established strategic objectives following:global business, industrial development, management restructuring, technological innovation. This paper analyzes the necessity of A Group Enterprise leadership development in terms of cross border, the value of cross boundary leadership model for corporate strategy development, builds group enterprise cross boundary leadership model combined with business strategies and proposes effective ways to promote cross boundary leadership, provides theoretical reference and practical guide for group enterprise cross boundary leadership development.
