Study On Human Production Cost Management And Control In Company DP

Company DP was devoted to the world’s auto spare parts for more than 20 years, and has the rank of top 20 companies around the world, DP has 11 production plants in China. As one of the enterprises listed in NASDAQ, DP has a long history and cultural background in auto harness market, to provide vehicle and parts of wiring harness for many auto manufacturing factories in China. With the minimum wage standards increased in the recent years in China, the human cost of manufacturing increased throughout year by year. The factory supervisor is facing a huge challenge of managing and controlling the human cost, especially the plant of the company in cities of Shanghai and Guangzhou.This dissertation takes DP operating in the Chinese market as the research object, and focuses on the human cost management in design level and implementation level of site management. The research for the human cost management and control is conducted by combining the idea and methods of lean production and process reengineering.This dissertation first introduces the basic descriptions of DP, human cost, composition of human cost in DP. Product development, design and manufacturing processes were described and analyzed, the waste and non-value added activities were located. On the aspect of product development and production process design, in view of the influence of human cost management problems, the research puts forward the artificial cost optimization management measures for the development. In the production process design, it focuses on action time and process redesign, reduces operation sites in the design link, and proposes scientific and lean staffing standards for the design and management of human cost from the source. At the same time, the influence actors of the attention in the actual production process, and the influence of various variables in the field management of labor cost are also analyzed, and the research also puts forward measures to curb the variables on the impact of labor cost management.
