Homestead is an important part of rural land, is the most important security for the rights and interests of farmers, which is important for protecting the right of habitation for them, what’s more, in the current urbanization, homestead is even much more significant for them. The development of China’s current urbanization demand for land expansion, farmers can obtain the corresponding property income by exiting their homestead. However, the current homestead system of our country offers farmers the right of use only, in principle, farmers must be free to exit the homestead, which greatly reduces the enthusiasm of farmers to exit the homestead, it is thus clear that the current rural land system has lagged behind in economic and social. The use of homestead in some areas has achieved some successful experience at present, by drawing on the experience of the pilot areas, we can perfect China’s land system, suit one’s measures to local conditions, construct the exit mechanism of rural homestead, then we can effectively integrate rural homestead, save a lot of land resources, and then provides a great impetus for the urbanization in our country. By summarizing and evaluating the experience of the pilot areas, this paper suggest that our country homestead exit in general can be divided into two kinds of modes, which comes be developed areas and less developed areas. In developed areas, famers can exit their homestead by replacement approach, while in the less developed regions farmers can economize on land utilization through the village integration. By researching on the dynamic mechanism, incentive mechanism, transfer mechanism and the distribution mechanism of exiting homestead, this paper proposed the exit mechanism of our country homestead.
