In the knowledge economy times, more and more enterprises have realized that, a continuous development of the enterprise can no longer be sustained purely based on natural resources as in the past, meanwhile the knowledge has become one of the most important resources of the enterprise. With the rapid development of information technology, enterprise applications have been developed from simple technology to a highly integrated application platform, which accelerates the development process of enterprise informatization. Knowledge management, as a new management science and management mode, has been enriched and developed in the area of business administration thought and enterprise management methods with the development of information technology, which can strongly enhance and improve enterprise core competence, and ensure a sustainable development of enterprises.E Group, known as a typical vertical integrated cotton spinning and garment group, is one of the world leading high-grade cotton shirt manufacturers regarding business volume, whose headquarter locates in China Hong Kong. As the core organization of business development, the Technology Development Center(TDC) mainly responsible for product development, order management, garment technology research, continuous improvement and development of automation equipment. Facing the fierce market competition and diverse market requirements, E Group decided to establish a knowledge management system in TDC applying advanced knowledge management theories and information technologies, to further improve the enterprise core competitiveness. The knowledge management system can not only meet the employees’ need for professional and working knowledge during daily work, but also systematically manage the enterprise core technology and knowledge by providing an efficient learning and communication platform for the organization and each individual, to ensure the Group’s strategy on enhancement of productivity.This thesis is mainly based on the E Group’s actual needs, and designed TDC knowledge management system according to knowledge circulation theory. In this study knowledge management working process has been designed and built first, then designed the taxonomy for TDC knowledge and storage them using Wiki-technology and knowledge map. And with the knowledge of the analytic hierarchy process capability assessment model was established in order to achieve the recognition of TDC knowledge experts. Meanwhile a knowledge management platform has been established combining with advanced knowledge portal technology “Share Point Online”. The establishment of knowledge management system has promoted an effective knowledge circulation among the organization and each individual, and also achieved a continuous value adding of the knowledge capital in E Group.
