Petrochemical industry, as one of the basic industries of national economy, flourishes in recent years. Relying on its location advantage and its resource superiority, Ningbo becomes an important petrochemical industry base in Eastern China. Accordingly, logistics of hazardous articles develops fast. However, the overall developmental level is low, even though the number and scale of logistics companies are growing, which is mainly restricted by backwardness of companies’ human resource management.Employees of logistics companies of hazardous articles need special qualifications and mixedability for their job, owing to the unique characteristics of the logistics of hazardous articles. On account of the territoriality, logistics industry of hazardous articles in Ningbo City needs specific strategy in human resource management. Promotion of the level of human resource management is beneficial to the steady operation and substantial development of the logistics industry of hazardous articles.This paper is, first of all, an introduction about characteristics of hazardous articles, logistics of hazardous articles and theories of human resource management. Secondly, it is a conclusion and analysis about the current problems of human resource management in logistics companies of hazardous articles in Ningbo, which is based on the antedate questionnaire survey and on-the-spot visit. And lastly, it gives corresponding countermeasures against the current questions with the help of correlation theory and managerial experience, mainly from four aspects, namely, to set up a view of modern human resources management, to develop a strategic plan, to increase human capital investment in enterprise training and personnel encouragement, to strengthen the enterprise cultural construction and to increase the external supporting force.This paper is a theoretical guidance for human resource management in logistics companies of hazardous articles in Ningbo City. It has practical significance and value for the development of that logistics industry mentioned above.
