The Economic Thought In Qutadghubilik

The monumental work Qutadghubilik by Yusup Has Hajip is an outstanding representative of Uyghur classical literature, and it is also the classic of Uyghur economic, political, religious culture. At the same time,Qutadghubilik is not only a precious legacy of Uyghur people, but it is also an important part of the precious cultural heritage of our country.Despite the fact that Qutadghubilik was written during the Karahan period(1069-1070) when the society was full of constant internal power struggle and external war, the economy of the dynasty, however, was in its prosperity at that time. Observed from the development of productive forces and mode of production,the economic system and mode of life of Turks in the narrow sense with the Uyghur majority, were undergoing a great transformation that had great influence on the economic thought of Qutadghubilik studied in this dissertation.To begin with, the dissertation gives a general description of the economic thought in Qutadghubilik,generalizing the basic characteristics of the economic thought. Then it makes a theoretical analysis of the several economic ideas and discusses the economic measures presented in the work, further elaborating the economic thought mentioned by author that concerns finance management.The dissertation is composed of seven parts.First part is the introduction. This part is to describe the significance and purpose of the topic, research review at home and abroad, research and innovation and research methods as well as the shortcomings of this article.Second part is the basic information about the work that specifically includes the general content of the work and bibliography of the author.Third part is the generalization of the economic thought of Qutadghubilik.This part,in concrete, includes the cognition and the background of economic thought,the systems and characteristics of economic thought in Qutadghubilik.Fourth part describes in detail the thought of wealth in Qutadghubilik, pointing out that money, slaves and knowledge reperesent the different sorts of wealth. This part also elaborates the ways of acquiring and creating wealth that was mentioned in Qutadghubilik.Fifth part aims to discuss the mercantilist thought reflected in Qutadghubilik,further arguing the cognition of merchant and the qualifications that merchants should possess.Finally,the author elaborated the origin of Mercantilism at that time.Sixth part elaborates the monetary and fiscal thought in Qutadghubilik. In thispart the author makes a particularly deep analysis of fiscal and monetary thoughts that played a very important role in the social economy and market economy at that time.The final part discusses vision on labor and the principles of distribution...
