Impacts Of RMB Exchange Rate Change On Chinese Regional Economic Gap

With the deepening of the global economic integration, the economic ties between countries are increasingly frequent. Under open conditions, exchange rate as a bridge that contacting the national economy, the changes will inevitably influence the development of a country’s economy in both long term and short term. On October 18 2010, the central committee of the communist party of China to develop the twelfth five-year plan for national economic and social development suggestion, points out that our country should accelerate transformation of the mode of economic development and reform crucial step, the development of modern industry system, promote the regional harmonious development. Under the condition of open economy, exchange rate will be used as a useful intermediate target of monetary policy, to promote the development of China’s regional economic coordination equilibrium and the transformation of economic structure has an important influence.This paper, by using the combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis method, analyzes the cause the changes in the regional economic development gap conduction mechanism in our country. And, from the perspective of empirical, confirmed that the RMB real effective exchange rate and the level of economic gap between the long-term stable relationship, and based on the provincial panel data, from two aspects of import and export trade and FDI, analyzes the RMB real effective exchange rate movements affect the differentiation of regional economic development Finally, from the side of the exchange rate, and puts forward suggestions to promote the development of regional economy coordination in China.
