Research Of Xinjiang Economic Growth Efficiency Based On The Angle Of Resource And Environment

With the continuous development of Xinjiang economy, the contradiction between resources, environment and economy becomes more and more serious, sustainable economic growth need to continue improving the efficiency of economic growth. Therefore, the evaluation of the efficiency of economic growth of Xinjiang Prefecture, and promotion the efficiency of economic growth of Xinjiang around the state, has become a theoretical and practical significance work. This dissertation based on the EKC curve theory. Considered the reality of Xinjiang investment and output, the author enriched the EKC curve theory of economic theory, and added energy, natural resources and other input factors. This dissertation argues that the efficiency, with the continual increase of the income of the resident, showing a "U" curve characteristics, i.e.: in the process of economic development, with the increase of people’s income, the efficiency of economic growth will change presents a trend of increased gradually after the first decreased. This dissertation summarized four factors which may affect the efficiency of Xinjiang economy growth, such as economy level, institution, region and the social factors. Then, the author used quantitative analysis of the theoretical hypothesis with the result of the Tobit regression model.According to the documents such as "Twelfth Five Year Plan", "the development of low-carbon energy saving 2014-2015 action plan" and other documents,which documents become the main research background of this paper, the Author use data envelopment analysis, Malmquist index method and the censored variable regression analysis and other statistical methods to study the efficiency of Xinjiang economy growth with panel data of Xinjiang Prefectures, panel data and analyzes the factors that influence the efficiency of economic growth in Xinjiang.In order to obtain scientific conclusion of research, the work focus on these content. First, in the first chapter, we argued the research background, significance, the mainly the research methods involved, and technology roadmap, as well as the relevant research literature and previous research work. Second, according to the actual situation of Xinjiang, from the EKC curve theory, the paper enriched EKC theory, and summarize the factors may influence the efficiency of economic growth in different areas of Xinjiang. These factors mainly include the four aspects: economic, institutional, regional and society, these factors affect the around Xinjiang economic growth efficiency in different ways. Thirst, this paper described the quality of economic growth and economic development level of Xinjiang prefectures from a different point of view in the third chapter. The study found that the three southern states of Xinjiang are obviously different from other states. The level of economic development, industrial structure, natural resources have a significant difference. Forth, based on the above reasons, the input elements of the three prefectures in southern Xinjiang were adjusted, and in the fourth chapter, the author respectively measures related economic growth efficiency of the prefectures in Xinjiang. Results suggest: all over Xinjiang, when the high economic growth efficiency states shows a rising trend, the low efficiency of economic growth states appeared to gradually decrease and tended to be stable. Fifth, the fifth chapter of this paper mainly aims at the second chapter of the theoretical assumptions. It is made to verify the validity with the regression analysis. The author chose five variables in Xinjiang may affect the efficiency of economic growth according to the actual situation. According to the variable meanings, the paper selects proper indicators for effective measure. Through the Tobit regression model, this paper carried out the quantitative analysis about the factors of economic growth efficiency in Xinjiang. The regression results show that, most states’ economic growth efficiency of Xinjiang in different areas is affected by their economies scale, technological advancement and openness level obviously, but not by industrial structure, the degree of market effect. The economy growth efficiency of three southern states in Xinjiang is affected by economic scale, industrial structure, technological advancement and openness level obviously, but not by the degree of market effect. Finally, according to the results of empirical analysis, this paper carried out the path of improving the efficiency of economic growth, and look forward to the future of economic growth efficiency in Xinjiang under "One Belt and One Road" strategy.
