The development of the retail enterprises in our country has entered the stage of strategic transformation. Spatial expansion is important to the development of strategic transition of retail companies seek strategy.With the flourishing of retail enterprise expansion activity, expansion of retail enterprises space activities of a series of problems caused the attention of people from all walks of life, become the hot topic which the people discuss, of retail enterprises blindly implement the strategy of spatial expansion led to the collapse of problem is the focus of the retail world. Implement the strategy of spatial expansion of retail enterprises are generally more successful, in the period of development of enterprises, enterprise itself has a strong competitive advantage. However, because of the space environment in the dynamic and the existence of uncertainty and risk, often unable to control the process of space expanding retail enterprises, led to the failure of the expansion. the reason is because of the loss of the whole competitive advantage as a result of blind expansion, in front of the margin pressure have to opt out of the market. Retail enterprise in implementing space also expansion strategy problem how to keep the enterprise overall competitive advantage when it becomes very important.Research topic of this paper is the research evolution of retail enterprise competitive advantage space transfer ability. Based on the analysis summarized the research achievements of predecessors and spatial expansion process of retail enterprises in China found that retail enterprises in the implementation of space expansion strategy problem space transfer and upgrade of competitive advantage, and space transfer of competitive advantage and upgrading through retail enterprise space expansion strategy implementation process.
