In recent years, emerging economies, the new engine of promoting the world economic growth, was widely gained focus of all sectors of the community. It is important way of expanding the market of emerging economies for China that insisting on expanding opening strategy to promote the development of foreign trade. Therefore, it is significant that strengthen the research of the structural changes of import demand in emerging economics after the global financial crisis. This paper will explore the structural changes of import demand in emerging economics from the view of structure, and further to analyze its relationship with Chinese exports.Firstly, this paper descriptive analyzes the commodity structural changes of import demand in emerging economics and Chinese exports between 2001 and 2013 based on the four product categories of resources, labor, capital, and technology-intensive, and then uses the Moore index to measure the degree of changes. This paper found that capital-intensive products was the highest proportion in both structures of import demand in emerging economics and Chinese exports, and the labor-intensive products accounted for the overall decline in both two; And resource-intensive products accounted for a substantial promotion,technology-intensive products accounted for decreased in import demand of emerging economics. While resource-intensive products accounted decline in Chinese export to emerging economics, the proportion of capital and labor-intensive exports improved,technology-intensive products accounted for decline in recent years. Finally, the constant market share model is used to analyze the growth factors in Chinese exports to emerging economics. The result shows that the competitiveness effect is the most important factor in the growth of Chinese exports to emerging economics, and the potential of the commodity structure effect in the growth of Chinese exports to emerging economics is to be discovered. This paper suggests that China should fully tap the potential of the commodity structure adjustment and upgrading for promoting Chinese exports to emerging economics. And China should understanding the characteristics of demand market in emerging economics, maintaining and improving the competitiveness, promoting traditional comparative advantage industry, and developing more space of export.
