The Study On Guangzhou’s Competitiveness Of Services Industry

with the development of the economic, industrial structure gradually become service-oriented, so the proportion of the service sector in the industrial structure tends to become a important measure of the level of economic development of a country. In current global value added in services has exceeded 60% of GDP,and the trade of services accounted for 70% of total world trade, consumer services accounted for 50% of all consumption. In developed countries, the service sector often has accounted for about 70-80% of the proportion of GDP, even 90%.Modern service industry can create demand, guide consumers, concentrate intelligence,also with high added value, low resource consumption, less environmental pollution. Therefore, owning further development of the service sector has become the trend of international economic development. We can say that the modern industrial economy is inseparable from the developed service industry to support.As one of the five national central cities in China, the development of the service sector of Guangzhou has also been progress in leaps and bounds, and better quality. But with the increase market openness, Guangzhou’s service advantage is in decay. Not only have a larger gap than New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, also Beijing and Shanghai. Guangzhou’s service industry structure is not excellent, less competitive, not balanced. And the market system is incomplete, the low degree of concentration of the industry space.If Guangzhou wants to have sustainable development and maintain strong economic competitiveness and development activity, it must achieve the further development of services be based on the actual situation. So that it can enhance the competitiveness of the service sector.This paper reviews the research on evaluation of the competitiveness of the service industry, analyze the current situation of the service industry in Guangzhou descriptively, with factor analysis, build a comprehensive index system, in order to find the competition of the service in Guangzhou. By comparing with other central cities find advantages and disadvantages, constraints, problems of Guangzhou’s service industry. And give some policy recommendations.
