Research On The Competitiveness Evalution Of Service Industry In Guangxi

As the pace of economic development is picking up, service industry has found its way into almost every aspect of people's lives and plays an increasingly important role in social life. We need to focus on the development of local service industry to see whether the regional economy is developed or not. The development of service industry has become an important symbol to measure the regional development. In recent years, Guangxi responds to the government's call and the development of service industry accordingly makes some progress. The total amount has improved and some new service industries have gradually developed, but the effect is not obvious. Service industry in Guangxi is in the process of transition form traditional service to new service, its structure is not reasonable and development is lagging behind. The proportion of traditional service is still too large, which will go against the development of service industry and the improvement of competitiveness level. The service development of all regions in Guangxi is unbalanced and there is a big gap among these regions. Therefore, in order to promote the competitiveness level of Guangxi service industry, this paper makes an in-depth study of competitiveness level and it plays a significant role in theory and reality.This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is an introduction, which is including research background and significance, content and structure, main research method and innovation. The second chapter is the domestic and foreign literature review, this review defines the concept of the competitiveness of service industry and comprehensively analyzes service industry in index system, evaluation method and influencing factors. The third chapter is mainly to build the competitiveness evaluation index system, describes each index and lays the foundation for the empirical analysis in the next chapter. The fourth chapter makes an empirical analysis on the competitiveness of service industry. The author uses statistical yearbook to collect related data first, and then makes a detailed appraisal of service competitiveness in fourteen cities by using factor analysis and SPSS software. Finally, the author obtains four main factors and ranking, which indicates that the top three cities are Nanning, Liuzhou and Fangchenggang, the development of other cities is still slow. The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the influencing factors of service competitiveness in Guangxi, and then finds out the main factors. The author firstly finds out possible influencing factors according to theory and actual situation, and then establishes a regression model and uses panel data to analyze influencing factors. Finally, the author finds out five major influencing factors of service competitiveness level, including per capita GDP, population density, Urbanization level, openness and government function. The sixth chapter is countermeasures and suggestions, which is based on the previous chapter and puts forward the countermeasures to enhance the competitiveness of Guangxi service industry. The seventh chapter is the conclusion and outlook, the author summarizes the content, draws the final conclusion and puts forward the research direction in the future.
