To accomplish the goal of industrialization is not only the important mission of China’s economic development in the early twenty-first century, but also an inevitable choice for us building a well-off society. Jiang Zemin, the former President of C hina, has explicitly pointed out in the 16 t h National Congress of the Communist Party of China: “It remains an arduous historical task in the process of our modernization drive to accomplish industrialization”. IT application is a logical choice if industrialization and modernization of our country are to be accelera ted. It is, therefore, necessary to persist in using IT to propel industrialization featuring high scientific and technological content, good economic returns, low resources consumption, little environment pollution and a full display of advantages in huma n resources.” New industrialization road, which is a new thought of industrialization development, was proposed on the basis of fully considering our national conditions. It emphasizes the harmonious development of economy and resources, environment. And at the same time, under the trend of world’s economic and scientific development, we can accelerate the development of industry by technology and information, to realize the strategic target of leapfrog development.New industrialization was produced in a critical, inherited, developed way of traditional industrialization. From the new industrialization concept was put forward in the 16 t h National Congress of the Communist Party of C hina, new industrialization has become a hotspot of the areas of politics and economies, and a large number of scholars have been attracted to study and analyze. For the study of new industrialization, the researches which concentrated on the comprehension of the concept of new industrialization and the exploration of the road o f new industrialization on early days, acquired some achievements. As the study of new industrialization continue to comprehensively and thoroughly, the evaluation of new industrialization process is becoming a new focus. In this context, the paper will ha ve an exploratory research on the evaluation of new industrialization process.Based on the Industrialization Theory, New Growth Theory and New Economic Geography Theory, the paper first interpreted the connotation of new industrialization. Then we verified that the spatial differentiation and space conglomeration effect of new industrialization have significant influence on China’s economic development, through analyzing the spatial structure and spatial disproportionality of new industrialization. Besides, by constructing spatial econometric model, we measured the spatial spillover effect of economic development on the perspective of new industrialization. We reached the conclusion from empirical research that: first ly, China’s new industrialization development has formed the situation of spatial agglomeration, the coastal regions have highest level of new industrialization development, midland lower, and west areas lowest; secondly, the development of new industrialization presented spatial correlation among provinces, and the spatial correlation is on the rise evolving over time, and has a downward trend with the increase of spatial distance; thirdly, new industrialization development among provinces has formed stable high- high agglomeration and low- low agglomeration areas, which shows the stability on space, it has strong path dependence, and each province is difficult to separate itself from original agglomeration type; fourthly, one province’s market potential on the perspective of new industrializat ion has significant positive impact on its economic growth, the elasticity of the direct spatial spillover effect which is reflected by market potential even surpasses the elasticity of fixed-asset investment, besides, the indirect spatial spillover effect which is reflected by regression residual in the spatial error model also has important influence on the economic growth of provinces; fifthly, the spatial spillover effect on the perspective of new industrialization among provinces decreases as the increasing of spatial distance between provinces.
