| Since the reform and opening-up policy,the China's pig-breeding industry has enjoyed a rapid development stage,regional specialization state clearly.However,the pig-breeding industry still faces sustainable development problems,such as low production efficiency,low quality security and severe environmental pollution,which need to optimize and adjust from the "supply side".The standardization pig-breeding represents high efficiency,high quality and low pollution modern hog cultivation industry.How to develop standardization pig-breeding in China?This is an urgent issue needs to study.On the basis of agricultural location theory and industrial agglomeration theory,by applying theoretical analysis and statistic analysis,the dissertation studies how to develop standardization pig-breeding from the perspective of regional economics on three aspects:industrial agglomeration,industrialization organization development and policies support.The theoretical significance lies in enriching the study of regional economic sustainable development,and the practical significance is to provide the decision-making reference for the development of standardization pig-breeding and the sustainable development of the pig-breeding industry.The research is carried out in the following logical order:Firstly,based on the statistical yearbook data,the data of the surveyed pig-breeding farmers and related literatures,the dissertation analyzes the regional layout of pig-breeding industry in China,the issue of pig-breeding industry sustainable development and the standardization pig-breeding adoption of the surveyed pig-breeding farmers,so as to find out the difficulties and dilemmas inner the standardization pig-breeding development of China.Secondly,based on the theoretical analysis of the agglomeration economy and the positive environmental externality of the pig-breeding industrial agglomeration,using macro statistics data of 31 provinces in China over the years,with the application of two stages least square estimation,generalized method of moment,spatial Durbin model,the dissertation studies the growth effect and environmental effect of pig-breeding industrial agglomeration and their spatial spillover effect and regional difference.Thirdly,based on the theoretical analysis of"small production,big market" dilemma of China's pig-breeding industry and the risk and positive externality of the standardization pig-breeding,applying the data of 638 pig-breeding farmers surveyed by stratified random sampling method from Zhejiang province,Jiangxi province and Sichuan province with high degree of agglomeration of pig-breeding,the dissertation analyzes the standardization pig-breeding development effects of industrialization organizations and policies support,which are the two routes enhancing the industrial agglomeration.Fourthly,based on the contract essence of industrialization organizations driving the standardization pig-breeding,this dissertation studies the contract arrangement and the implementation of pig-breeding farmers.Finally,based on the two-stage model of the government support the development of standardization pig-breeding,with the application of simultaneous two-variable Probit model,the dissertation studies the support policies'choices of pig-breeding farmers,in order to provide reference for practical support policies.Through theoretical and empirical study,findings are as follows:Firstly,the pig-breeding industry has obvious industrial space agglomeration,which is decided by resource endowment,increasing returns to scale,technological progress,market demand,urbanization and non-farm employment opportunities,transportation conditions and government policies.The industrial agglomeration promotes the standardization pig-breeding through growth effects and environmental effects,and has significant spatial spillover effect.However,excessive industrial agglomeration will show agglomeration diseconomy' and negative externalities of the environment.With the increasing of industrial agglomeration,it promotes and then inhibits the pig-breeding efficiency,the relationship between the industrial agglomeration and the pig-breeding efficiency demonstrates an "inverted U" curve,and the"Williamson hypothesis" was founded.With the increasing of industrial agglomeration,it inhibits and then promotes the pig manure carrying capacity of farmland,the relationship between the industrial agglomeration and the pig manure carrying capacity of farmland demonstrates a "U" curve.From the perspective of regional differences,industrial agglomeration promotes the pig-breeding efficiency significantly in the key development region,the potential growth region and the moderate development region,and decreases the pig-breeding pollution significantly in the constrained development region and the potential growth region.Secondly,industrialization organization development and policies support are two routes to enhance the agglomeration economy and positive externalities of the environment.Pig-breeding farmers who combined with industrialization organizations promote the pig-breeding facility,the production specification,the epidemic prevention system,the pollutant harmless,and the supervision normalization significantly.Pig-breeding farmers who obtain policies support enhance the pollutant harmless and the supervision normalization significantly.Furthermore,pig-breeding farmers combine with industrialization organizations or obtain policies support enjoy higher earnings and lower cost significantly.Thirdly,the essence of the industrialization organization developing the standardization pig-breeding is a contractual arrangement with sale contract and technology contract property.Pig-breeding farmers with high degree of production decision transfer,setting "market price with premium",high quality demand,or obtain technology service has high degree of standardization pig-breeding adoption.Industrialization organizations with large specific assets,good technology service,high-end sales market,or share relationship rents can obtain more production decision.Pig-breeding farmers with short pig-breeding period,long term cooperation with industrialization organization,or risk aversion tend to transfer more production decision.Pig-breeding farmers who has large scale,easy to sale,near the market,has acquaintance in the industrialization organization,participate in company,delay in payment,has no bonus,has no technology service or in Zhejiang province has bigger chance to obtain "market price with premium".Pig-breeding farmers with high education degree,low moral hazard earnings,punishment mechanism,written contract,account by cash or long contract duration has a high ratio of implementation.Fourthly,the process of government support can be divided into the demonstration stage and the imitation stage,the latter is more essential.Financial incentives are the most preferred support policy,the second preferred policies are equipment subsidy and cost subsidy.The financial incentives and price support are substitutional relationship.Intelligence support and nonintellectual support are substitutional relationship.Equipment subsidy and cost subsidy are substitutional relationship.Aged pig-breeding farmers need more intelligence support,large-scaled pig-breeding farmers need more financial incentives,pig-breeding farmers with high standardization index need more price support,pig-breeding farmers with high awareness,high-end sales market,or in Jiangxi or Sichuan province need more equipment or cost subsidy.Through full-text analysis,the following suggestions can be listed:promoting pig-breeding industry agglomeration to the advantage region,enhancing the growth effect and the environmental effect of pig-breeding industry agglomeration,strengthen the spatial spillover effect of the industry agglomeration,develop industrialization organizations and optimize contract relationship with pig-breeding farmers,transform government functions and roles,and optimize support policies.The innovation aspects of the dissertation lie in:Firstly,the dissertation brings the study of the development of standardization pig-breeding into the scope of regional economics.On the basis of agricultural location theory,industrial agglomeration theory,and adopting spatial econometric model,the dissertation studies the growth effect and environmental effect of pig-breeding industrial agglomeration.Secondly,the dissertation analysis the standardization pig-breeding behavior and the production decision making arrangement of pig-breeding farmers overall and systematically.Thirdly,from the perspective of contractual arrangements,the dissertation analyzes the process of industrial organization developing standardization pig-breeding.Fourthly,from the perspective of pig-breeding farmers,the dissertation studies the mechanism and selection of policies supporting the standardization pig-breeding. |
