With the continuous development of China’s social and economic, the city development is also under a rapid rate. As a consequence, numerous problems has risen up, one of them is the reuse of the old industrial building. The old industrial building is abandoned because that the social industrial structure has changed to high-tech industry. In order to ease the pressure of land shortage, and also dig the value of the old industrial building, rebuilding these old industrial buildings has listed on schedule of the city development. But what we can not forget is that the whole world ask for a green and sustainable way of development. In that way, the traditional rebuild mode does not conform to this idea now. So adopting a new and green rebuild mode is necessary. Adopting this mode can not only reuse the old industrial building, but also reduce the energy consumption and environmental pollution. Moreover, some of these buildings can represent the development history of the city. But our country is lack of standards about how to judge a rebuild mode of the old industrial building as a green mode and which level the rebuilt building has reached if it adopted the green rebuild mode. Under the influence of all the reasons listed above, it is certain that the research about the green evaluation of rebuild plan of the old industrial building has its own practical significance.The research strategy of the green evaluation system of the old industrial building is asking, studying, and finally solving the problems. First of all, after describing the history of the industrial building and current rebuild situation of the old industrial building in China, it is concluded that adopting the green rebuild mode of the old industrial building is urgent and necessary. Secondly, studying the abroad and domestic green building assessment systems, and then analyzing the relationship between each system and the green evaluation system of the old industrial building. And according to the characteristics of the rebuilding of the old industrial building, establishing a systematic evaluation index system. Then, explaining the theories and methods of calculating the evaluation index weight in detail. Acquire the evaluation index weight by inviting practitioners to participate in the project. Therefore, the green evaluation system of rebuild the old industrial building has been established. Finally, adopting the evaluation system on a case, the rebuilding of the old factory of Chongqing Iron and Steel Group, to explain and verify the evaluation system.In conclusion, this article started of describing the urgency and necessity of rebuild the old industrial building. Evaluating the design by adopting the green evaluation system of the old industrial building, to explain which way of the rebuild belongs to the green mode. The author hopes this article can help to complete the whole evaluation system of the green building in China, and solve the problem, how to deal with the relationship of social environment and the reuse of the old industrial building, at the same time.
