Rubber industry is the major export product of Thailand. The rubber products are mainly exported to high industrial growth country like the U.S., China, Japan and the European Union. The major producers and exporters of natural rubber are Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. As for the assessment of the competitive environment, Thailand has the highest level of competitiveness in smoked rubber and latex. Thai rubber business has been promoted by government agencies to develop strategies in order to meet the globalization. However, it still lacks of information to reap benefits from ASEAN Economic Community(AEC), which going to happen in the last semester of 2015, and free trade agreements. The purpose of this study is to generate contemporary information to use as a policy planning in both the production, to enhance competitiveness a nd to support the implementation. This study aimed to investigate Thai rubber production and marketing plan of Thai Hua Rubber public company limited to analyze its positive factors and limitations, and to recommend strategies and data from various privat e and government sources.Study shows that, Thai rubber production has been in a strong growth phase for many years, and there is room for increased production as the supply is still not meet world market’s demand. In order to build a strong rubber busines s, production and marketing should be planned according to internal factors, such as productive soil, rubber strain, chemical fertilizer, a higher domestic distribution price, convenient transportation, setting up international rubber businesses and establ ishing cooperative organization in three countries, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia; and also external factors, for instance, moving the base of car production to Thailand and China, the world demand for raw rubber, free world trade, the economic situatio ns of peer countries and the rising world economy. Appropriate strategies for Thai rubber development would be: to support and develop improved rubber strains in order to increase production per rai, to develop good quality manure instead of chemical fertilizer, to improve technology development, to reduce the negotiation power of the buyers, to bargain the value of raw material and production, to support research on rubber, to find opportunities in free world trade, to set up a standard and to promote brand acceptance from transmuted rubber production; government policy should be clear and continual, in order to serve the international rubber business and help them find new opportunities. And also establish an international price, according from the world price. The need of raw rubber production for the world is continually increasing and since Thailand is still the main rubber manufacturing country in the world, rubber production should be made sustainable and given priority development. With new world trade priorities emerging, such as the moving of the base of car production to Asia, a cooperative organization between Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia should be developed to ensure that our countries gain maximum benefit and prolong sustainable rubber production in the future.
