Since the 21 st century,With the development of electronic information technology,many Electronic Manufacturing Services(EMS) have developed rapidly, and have become the important link of the electronic industry chain. As the widening impact of American faulty goods crisis in 2008, consumer market becomes tighter and tighter, and entire EMS industry has suffered a lot. To change the status quo, improve the competitiveness, and meet the market demand, the enterprise must change the old mode of production, and adopt the mode of lean production. As a member of the Many small and medium-sized EMS enterprises, JY company also inevitably faces the following questions: market shrinking, higher customer requirements, and higher product quality.The paper starts from the Research status of Lean Production. Then it expounds the differences between Lean Production and traditional mass production, and the main contents of Lean Production. Based on all above, the paper analyses the backgrounds of implementation of lean production in SMT workshop of JY company, and recognize the problems(for examples: lower overall equipment efficiency, lower Inventory turnover rate, bad 5s management and lower product quality). Based on all the above analyses, this paper designs a implementation program of Lean Production in SMT workshop of JY company, and puts forward some suggestions on Lean Production implementation, including Cultivating enterprise culture, strengthening the training, establishing demonstration line, and Constructing evaluation systems.
