Study On Shang Yang’s Thoughts Of Human Resources

Shang Yang is an excellent ideologist, statesman and military strategist in Zhan Guo period. He is also an important representative of the pre Qin Legalist school. He was in the state of Qin chaired the Shang Yang reform be known to all the world, laid the foundation of the state of Qin unified the world. Qin through the practice of Shang Yang’s human management thought become strong. Shang Yang’s human management thoughts have a profound effect on that time and aftertime Chinese state management and the historical development, to enrich the modern management theory and has very important significance to guide the practice of modern management. The thesis aims to study Shang Yang’s human management thought, to further tap the essence of the traditional management thought, seek the point combined with modern management theory, learning from history, make the past serve the present.This dissertation based on The reform of Shang Yang and Book of Lord Shang. By literature study, comparative analysis, inductive method, consulting, drawing on previous research results, the Shang Yang human management thought and the pre Qin and the western management thought of management in comparison, analyzed and summarized the connotation of Shang Yang’s theory of human resource management. First, researcher analyzes the history culture origin through comparative study. Shang Yang suggested that governing the country does not necessarily have to follow the example of ancient. Secondly, it studies the theory of the connotation of Shang Yang’s management thought. Based on humanity and realistic foundation, Shang Yang put forward in the management aim of logic and the rule of law management, to enriching the country as the management objectives, taking law as the standard management, to mete out the proper awards and penalties as management incentive, pay attention to the non persistent rule in the management efficiency and finally realizes centralized monarchy and strong bully objective. Finally, researcher summarizes the impact of human management thought of Shang Yang on later generations, and puts forward several aspects of modern management can be used.This paper analyses and sums up Shang Yang’s human resource management system of thought, dig out the ideal realm pursued the human management thought, and Shang Yang’s human management of the historical progress and limitation of modern management and its reference is discussed.
