A Meta-analysis Of The Influence Between Entrepreneurial Orientation And Firm Performance

With entrepreneurial activities and innovative enterprises growing home and abroad, entrepreneurship has an effective impact on improving business performance and the level of employment, which pulls the increase of the national economy. At present, the study of the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance has become one of the hotspots in the field of business management. Academia has accumulated a wealth of empirical research. However, due to the previous empirical research sample characteristics and research situation, there is no consistent conclusion for the study of the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance. In addition, meta-analysis can be used to research similar research topics whose conclusions are conflicts. Based on this, this article will apply meta-analysis to the research of the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance, based on the bibliographic database home and abroad. We will study the related important empirical research literature home and abroad and analyses the samples with document collation and data processing, expecting to deepen our understanding of the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance and to provide some reference for subsequent scholars, at the same time, to improve business performance and gain lasting competitive advantage to provide some suggestions and advice for managers.In this study, through the collection of domestic and foreign relevant bibliographic database for nearly 30 years, we got 143 articles mainly in top journals home and abroad. Combined with the selection standard of meta-analysis research literature, the study exclude with 44 references which can not be used to go on the meta-analysis research, and finally the study get the meta-analysis research with a total of 99 literatures. Through the arrangement and analysis of the former related research literature, the study uses the five dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation and determines the research model. In the study, entrepreneurial orientation is divided into five dimensions with innovation, protectiveness, competitive aggressiveness, risk-taking and autonomy. Based on this, the study researches the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance, at the same time, adding nationality, eastern and western cultural differences, enterprise age and the scale of staff to the study as regulating variables, to study the influence of the variables on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance. The results show that entrepreneurial orientation promotes business performance, and nationality, eastern and western cultural differences, enterprise age and the scale of staff regulate the relationship above. Finally, according to the results of the hypotheses, suggestions are put forward.
