As an essential part of human resources, performance management is a key link to achieve the company strategic target and the advantage in competition. Since the labor allocation system in 2007, Chinese tobacco industry pays more attention to performance management, arranges the internal labor relations, regulates distribution and arouses the enthusiasm of activeness and creativity. However, performance management in tobacco industry is facing newer and more requirements with the deeper reformation. Exploring an effective performance management has become the point of reformation in labor allocation system.This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction. Firstly, it puts forward the background and significance of the research, the present situation of the research on the performance management, the purpose and the method, the main content and the framework of the thesis. The second chapter is the theory of performance management, which mainly describes the basic theory of performance management, including the meaning and process of performance management. The third chapter is about the status quo and problems of G tobacco companies, the basic situation of G tobacco companies and the status quo of the performance management system, through interviews, questionnaires, analysis of the existing problems and causes of performance management system. The fourth chapter analyzes the causes of G tobacco companies’s performance management system, this part of the performance management system optimization design as the guiding ideology, including performance plan, performance counseling, performance evaluation, performance feedback. The fifth chapter is the key part of this paper, mainly on the basis of the selection of the system optimization design method, the company’s two important departments to analyze, locate, design a new performance evaluation index system, and compare the old and new performance evaluation system.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and Prospect of this paper,the conclusions of this study are summarized,and the main conclusions are summarized.Through the re-design of performance management system based on the theory of performance management, this article introduces the system design and implement process, and makes the project more operable. Hope this kind of research could supply some valuable suggestions for performance management reformation of Chinese tobacco industry.
