Forset tourist is a hot topic today in our country. Tourism is an inevitable choice of forestry development, which will become one of pillar industries of forestry. Fenghuang Mountain Foest Park, which is located in Fucheng District of Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, has the unique geographical location and a wealth of forest landscape resources. With the conditions and advantages, it’s a perfect place to develop forest tourism. The development of forest tourism is an important form of sustainable development. And a good solution for the contradiction between resource conservation and local economic development. Therefore, evaluation development and research of the tourism resources by using scientific principle and method has important significance in both theory and practice.This article does statistical analysis on field research, and then obtains the geographical situation, the forest resources and the socio-econmic profile of the Park. Based on investigations, this article classified all the eco-resources. All the results show that the tourism resources of Fenghuang Mountain Forest Park have good quality, high value, and great development potential. And specific evaluation of the results was analyzed.Based on the detailed analysis of the current situation of tourism development in Fenghuang Mountain Forest Park, the article propose the park’s tourism development positioning, including the tourist market positioning, function orientation and image positioning. Then combining tourism resources comprehensive evaluation of the above analysis, some useful exploration of tourism product development strategy and project planning for this Forset Park have been put forward.
