The rapid development of e-commerce has changed people’s traditional way of life-style and consumption patterns. Domestic e-commerce stimulates ascent of consumption, which motivates the appearance and development of many private logistics enterprises, but at the same time it exposes problems, including the imbalance between logistics industry supply and demand, inadequate infrastructure, inadequate network planning, and unsatisfactory quality of service issues. Especially the extremely serious network layout issue, the unreasonable network planning results in a serious time limitation problem and cost issues, the current domestic private express delivery giants have been optimized for solving the issue.Based on the previous studies, the thesis analyzes multi-level city express business model. From the overall perspective of the network, we re-plan and select the city express delivery centrality considering the degree of importance of the outlets in the network. In terms of market share and cost, the thesis uses competitive location model to build city express secondary network. And finally evaluate each network performance from the three dimensions by using TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation.The thesis makes a comprehensive literature on city express, logistics facility location theory, and analyze the type of previous research methods in the study of location problems and shortcomings. Firstly, the thesis elaborates the conceptions of the city express, facility location, and analyzes the type and the shortcomings of previous research methods. Secondly, to solve the disadvantages, this thesis introduces a new model to optimize the three-tier distribution model of the city into two distribution models. Thirdly, considering competitors participating in the competition of market share, we introduces of cost and market factors to build HUFF model, calculate and determine the final distribution centers and the corresponding distribution range. Finally, because of different traffic each network, the actual operating conditions and performance has a gap.Therefore, we use bench-marking and TOPSIS method to evaluate the time performance, cost performance and customer satisfaction performance of the network.This article simulates operational status and makes a case study of one express delivery company in Hangzhou. In the first model, this thesis uses UCINET software to calculate degree values, use EXCEL tool calculating a score ranked by entropy method, and determine nine alternate distribution centers. In terms of competitive location analysis, this thesis calculates and determines the final six distribution centers as well as their distribution range by using LINGO software and Branch and bound method. Finally, in the performance evaluation study, determining the two outlets substandard performance through EXCEL software algorithm.In the end of the thesis, there is a summary about how to apply social network analysis to location analysis and making a prospect from collaboration distribution perspective.
