Research On The Economic Benefit And Influencing Factors Of Rapeseed Production In Anhui Province

Rapeseed oil plays an important role in guaranteeing the safety of domestic vegetable oils.From the point of view of the consumption of vegetable oils,the consumption of the rapeseed oil is two fifth of the domestic vegetable oils.From the point of view of the supplement and quality of vegetable oils,the soybean oil is mainly produced from imported and genetically modified soybeans, the palm oil has low nutritional value,however, the rapeseed oil is now internationally recognized as the highest quality and safest vegetable oil.Therefore, it is very essential to improve the farmers’planting initiative,to develop rapeseed production and to guarantee the sustainable development of the rapeseed industry.But how to stimulate the farmers’ planting initiative?This paper is based on the promotion of the farmers’income and takes Anhui Province as an example and makes research on the economic benefit of rapeseed and influencing factors from the aspect of input and output,which has practical significance to improve the economic benefit of rapeseed industry in Anhui Province and the other rapeseed growing areas.This paper first introduces the basic situation,the advantages and challenges of rapeseed production in Anhui Province,showing that Anhui Province is facing some challenges,such as the number of working population is reducing,the high labor cost and the revenue of the competitive wheat crop is higher,which has led to the reduction of the rapeseed acreage in Anhui Province in recent years,but by virtue of the unique natural and technological advantages,the rapeseed acreage and yield per unit area is above the average of the country and still has the potentiality to improve.Then this paper uses net profit per unit area,labor productivity and cost margins to measure the economic benefit of Anhui Province rapeseed, finding that the economic benefit is not stable and fluctuates severely in recent ten years,As for the reasons,this paper shows that when the input factors remain unchanged,the fluctuation of sales price and yield per unit area affects the fluctuation of the total re venue,thereby affects the fluctuation of the economic benefit;the total cost restricts the increase of net income of rapeseed production and accelerates the fluctuation of economic benefit;the financial subsidy improves the economic benefit and weakens the fluctuation of the economic benefit of rapeseed production.Finally,this paper gets the degree of influence of each factor to the economic benefit of Anhui rapeseed production by building panel data model and makes relevant recommendations from the aspect of the government sector,research and development department and the farmers themselves.
