| Non-Ferrous industry is the basis for the development of national economy. Non-Ferrous metals are basic materials for many critical supplies and also are indispensable basic raw materials for consumer goods, which are necessary for daily lives. Healthy development of Non-Ferrous industry can help guarantee the development of national economy, national safety and promotion of high-tech development. However, it is now facing double pressure from in and abroad. Nationally, economy growth has been shifted to a relatively low rate; the whole economy has entered into "’new normal". Internationally, more regional political risks, terrorism and others have brought more uncertainty and un-stabilities to the external environment. The whole world economy has undergone deep adjustment, slow recovery, and this will surely impede our economic development. To upgrade industry and to build a country with strong Non-Ferrous metals abilities is still very tough.Our new government brought the concept of "one belt, one road" in 2015 and to faster cooperation on international capacity will do help to promote the development on Non-Ferrous metals. Additionally, in the first twenty years of the 21st century, China will also on its way to industrialization, fast development of manufacturing industry will help promote a faster development period for Chinese national economy. Can the Non-Ferrous industry make best use of this period and to form a group of enterprises with high technical innovations and competitiveness will become more and more important for the fast growth rate of the whole Chinese economy.Effective corporate governance plays an important role in improving companies’ operating efficiency and promoting faster development of Non-Ferrous metals industry. The findings have been proved by many scholars, but how to provide, how to promote remains questionable. Some of them think that well-operated inner governance with high decision-marking qualities will do great help. There are also some scholars trying to know the functions Board of Director plays in improving companies’ performance, There are also some scholars who aim at their independent board. More and more studies have been emerged, but different results have been shown. One of the studies in this paper will be made on the relationship between personality factors of independent board and companies’operation efficiencies, and a quantitative study will be used to investigate on this relationship. The results will help provide useful suggestions on choosing independent board for Non-Ferrous metals companies.The government has paid lots of attention on technical innovation and industry adjustment. The 13th Five Year Plan has pointed out that creativity shall be the NO.l driving power for the whole economy growth. It should be put in the vital place for overall national development. We must stick to the concept of creative development and improve the quality and effectiveness of growth. Government work report in 2016 has also strengthened the role of technical innovation.However, as the basis for economy development, the overall technical innovation ability in Non-Ferrous industry is low, the number of intellectual patents application and granting has been lower than average. How to improve technical innovation in this industry and to help increase development in said industry is a question. The author is trying to find relationships between independent board and patents, trying to give suggestions based on relevant empirical studies.Lots of studies have already demonstrated that corporate creativeness and corporate performance are related. Theoretically speaking, the improvement of corporate creativeness can increase its technical advantages and thus help enhance corporate core competitiveness. Do Non-Ferrous industry companies act the same way? The author is trying to make a conclusion based on quantitative study and then gives targeted suggestions on corporate performance improvement.This paper will be divided into five sectors. The first sector will illustrate the background, researching methods and its innovations among others. Part two will be literature review both in and abroad, a systematic introduction of respective researches both in and aboard will be illustrated. It contains literature review on independent board and its personality factors, the studies on corporate creativeness, and the relationship on corporate creativeness and performance. This sector will be served as references for further studies in this paper. The third part will be research design. These interrelated studies will be conducted. The first study will be on the relationship between personality factors of independent board and corporate performance, the second study will be on the relationship between personality factors of independent board and corporate creativeness, the last one will be on the relationship between corporate creativeness and corporate performance. All studies conducted here are designed to identify factors that affect corporate performance and can help make useful suggestions for future selection on independent board for Non-Ferrous industry companies. Several hypothesis have been made for further verifications, the data source, variables design and so on, to make preparations for further study. The fourth part will be empirical studies. The last part will be conclusions and suggestions. Detailed research conclusions will be described and more targeted suggestions will be provided for the selection of independent board for Chinese Non-Ferrous metals companies.This paper has been aimed at the study on Non-Ferrous metals industry, and has been specializing on studying the relationships between personality factors of independent board and the operating efficiencies. There are few scholars study relationships between personality factors of independent board and the technical innovations of Non-Ferrous metals companies. The result will offer better and targeted suggestions for the selection of independent board in this industry, thus better operating efficiency in Non-Ferrous metals industry can be assured. |
