With the development of tourism, average tour can’t cater for people who are pursuing more knowledge and diversity in culture and humanism, which contributes to a new phenomenon that the tour projects of higher level are called for. Tourists are not only seeking those tourist attractions any more, they are but also eager to find some places which are unique in culture and experience. As a result of it, the programs, where tourists can experience in person, are standing out in a variety of tourism projects and consumption. Ethnic tourism is fascinating more and more foreign and Chinese tourists. Having collecting a large number of data and on-the-spot investigation, the author is discussing the future development pattern of the Sichuan-yuannan Lisu nationality villages.The essay is based on the tour resources of the Sichuan-yuannan Lisu villages and have a discussion about the current situation, problems and solutions as well as future development in this area through collection of standard documents and the quantitative and qualitative questionnaire investigation. The whole paper consists of five chapters: Chapter one is the part of introduction. In this part, the writer tries to introduce the background of the research, the origin of the ethnic, the current situation and the methods of the research together with definition of concerning concepts. Chapter two aims to demonstrate the features of Lisu villages in Dechang ethnic district in Sichuan province, its problems and current situation. At the same time some solutions about the issues mentioned above are offered too. Chapter three is also involved the problems and current situation as well as some solutions, however, which focuses on another ethnic district--Nu river ethnic villages. Chapter four is the highlight of the whole essay: the author ponders over the process of development of Sichuan-yuannan Lisu villages and analyzes the similarity and differences between the two ethnic districts by comparison. Chapter five is the final part which sums up the conclusion on the basis of statements above in the paper. The author provides some references for future development of ethnic tourism by the research. And some shortcoming are exposed too, which is also believed to be beneficial to the future tourism development.
