At present, the management of metallurgical construction projects is the main choice of DBB mode, due to design units, construction units and fire resistance material suppliers are out of line, the lack of overall coordination of the project, project progress, investment, quality received serious impact. EPC general contract mode is a model of the project design, procurement, construction and maintenance of the project. Through the general contractor to take effective optimization measures to optimize the whole process of the project implementation of standardized, standardized management and control, to maximize the integration of various resources, to shorten the period, reduce investment, save costs, to ensure the quality of the purpose. Along with the rapid growth of investment in metallurgical construction projects and the identification of the owner of EPC, the EPC general contract mode has been rapidly popularized in the field of metallurgical engineering.EPC total contract is one kind of the blast furnace iron ditch project to the owner to deliver the final product and service for the purpose, to the entire project implementation overall idea, the overall arrangement, the coordinated operation of the front and rear link tight contract pattern.This paper analyzes the problems in the practical application of the EPC project in the EPC project of the blast furnace, analyzes the problems existing in the practical application of the general contracting mode in the blast furnace, and puts forward the relevant optimization measures, such as project bidding, design, construction and other factors. Through the implementation of a series of collaborative optimization measures, EPC general contracting mode can achieve good management effect in the iron ditch project, and the consumption of tons of iron refractory material from 0.75kg to 0.52kg, and can save investment, shorten the time limit for a project, ensure the construction quality, can better achieve the project target. To achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation between the owner and the general contractor, and to promote the EPC general contract mode to be more mature used in the blast furnace iron ditch project.
