The Three Northeast Provinces Regional Economic Differences And Influencing Factors Analysis

Regional economic progress difference has always been an inevitable economic phenomenon, attracting many economists’ attention to a great extent. Because of the great significance of the coordinated development of the Northeast China old industrial base on improving China’s competitiveness, it is necessary to analyze the expanding gaps on development among the three northeast provinces, which will lay the theoretical foundation on improving the northeast provinces’ competitiveness.The article is divided into 5 parts. The first part is introduction, presenting the backgrounds,related literatures, major methods, the innovation and disadvantages of the paper. The second part explains regional economic progress difference, giving related theories, such as muir, the accumulation of circular causality theory, admire lu’s theory of growth pole, Hector seaman’s theory of unbalanced growth and friedman’s center periphery theory. The third part is empirical analysis for the northeast provinces. The data of per capital GDP range from 1978 to 2013,analyzing absolute and relative economic difference among the three provinces. Comprehensive index analysis based on 13 indexes such as per capital GDP and per capita local fiscal revenue for the three northeast provinces(the data does not include the greater hinggan mountains region of Hei longjiang province, Ji lin province data does not include the yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture) is conducted, whose results show that there is an expanding trend of regional economic differences.The fourth part focuses on the analysis of the factor on the economic difference among the three provinces. In the process of regional economic development, the cause of the regional economic difference is very complex. From the perspective of economics, this paper mainly analyzes the northeast region by the differences of industrial structure, capital investment, human capital factor and the degree of opening to the outside factors. And with the panel data of Liao ning, Hei longjiang and Ji lin in 1994-2013, the paper conducts empirical analysis on the factors of the regional economic differences. The results show that the industrial structure, investment and the degree of marketization are moresignificant for the formation of the northeast regional economic difference. The fifth part gives suggestion on narrowing the economic difference of three northeast provinces. Combined with the third and the fourth part, the paper puts forward specific suggestions on narrowing the difference of regional economy.
