The Study Of Network Capability, Environmental Dynamism And Ambidextrous Innovation

In network economic era, in order to attain advantage the enterprises need to do some innovation. The enterprises not only need exploratory innovation that responses to the violent environment to meet future needs, but also need exploitative innovation that makes full use of the current advantage to maintain the current income. The availability of ambidextrous innovation has been a common focus in the field of theory and practice. The existing research points out the way of thinking and organizational management are very different, so it is impossible to carry out ambidextrous innovation at the same time. But some studies showed that enterprise can adjust the organization structure,optimize internal processes or use the entrepreneurial orientation and dynamic capabilities that can influence the ambidextrous innovation to carry out ambidextrous innovation at the same time. But we still need, to find the independent variable that can facilitate ambidextrous innovation at the same time. For enterprises, the network capability is a important way to find and use the internal and external resources, and is fundamental to carry out innovation. The current studies have analysed the relationship between network capability and innovation performance, and the relationship between network capability and exploratory innovation. But there is little to study how the network capability influence ambidextrous innovation. The environment is changing rapidly, and any enterprise can not avoid environmental dynamism.We need to discuss deeply whether environmental dynamism will affect the relationship between network capability and ambidextrous innovation.Based on the review and analysis of network capability, environmental dynamism and ambidextrous innovation, this paper puts forward the modle and hypothesis. Then, according to the current mature form to design questionnaire and the data comes from the high-tech enterprises that along the ocean. This paper use SPSS to analyse the effective data to study the mechanism. Meanwhile, introducing the environmental dynamism to explore whether it can moderate the relationship between network capability and ambidextrous innovation. Finally, this paper draws conclusions and puts forward corresponding suggestions and measures for high-tech enterprises.Firstly, this paper finds that network capability has significant positive influence on ambidextrous innovation. The network capability has positive influence on both exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation. Secondly, Each dimension of network capability has positive influence on ambidextrous innovation. Each dimension has significant positive influence on exploratory innovation. Network visioning capability, network constructing capability and network orienting capability have significant positive influence on exploitative innovation; network operating capability has positive influence on exploitative innovation. Thirdly, this paper also verified the moderating effect of environmental dynamism. The result shows the environmental dynamism has a significant positive moderating effect between network capability and exploratory innovation, and a significant negative moderating effect between network capability and exploitative innovation.There are two innovations of this article:firstly, this paper has studied the influence of different dimensions of network capability on ambidextrous innovation. And it has explored if the network capability is the antecedent variables that can promote the ambidextrous innovation at the same time. Secondly, this paper considers the moderating effects of environmental dynamism when we study the influence of network capability on ambidextrous innovation. It contributes to deeply understand the inner mechanism of network capability and ambidextrous innovation to make up the lack of existing research. However, there are some limitations of this paper. Firstly, although this research has pointed that network capability can promote ambidextrous innovation at the same time, we need to study the implementation form of exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation in future research. Secondly, The sample comes from high-tech enterprises, so the applicability of the research results need to be further discussed. Thirdly, The data source is relatively single, there may be a system error caused by common method bias.
