Human resource is the most important resource and the most valuable asset for a company. The development of enterprises, especially for the rapidly growing enterprises, must count on the support and protection of human resources. Reasonable and effective salary system to motivate the enthusiasm of the employees, improving the entire level of the staff, working effectively as a team member are taking the irreplaceable important roles in the entire management system. Meanwhile, the scientific and reasonable salary system can help to attract and maintain outstanding employees.Xian XD High Voltage Apparatus Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "XD") is a large state-owned enterprise with long history and it has strong institutional inertia which led the staff to the unique psychology, thinking way and concept. It should be an urgent issue how to make use of reasonable and effective salary management system to attract and save talents. The study of the relevant theory of salary management will be the strong theoretical basis. Based on the different position in XD, this report completes the job description and clarifies the responsibility and qualification of each position. And then according to research findings, it renews the quantitative design of position assessment. Finally, combined with XD post salary and optimized results of position evaluation, it reconstructs the whole system of XD post wage by using broadband compensation theory and makes necessary adjustments regarding unreasonable pay structure, which further strengthens the salary incentive effect. In addition, it optimizes KPI system to make sure the well execution & fairness.The salary system is very essential for stuff & management. The rebuild of compensation system is an important field in the background of China macro-economic system reform. The conclusion of this study not only has important practical value for the reform of the XD’s compensation system, but also provides the reference for the majority of state-owned enterprises in the same context.
