Research On The Influencing Factors And Forecast Of Labor Productivity In China’s Construction Industry

As the pillar industry of national economy, the construction industry is an important part of China government’s macro-control measures, meanwhile plays a significant role in national economy. Recent 10 years, China’s construction industry develops at high speed and faces internationalization, therefore, its development direction and internationalization strategies have become hot topic since 21st century. Although number of China’s construction industry enterprises grows gradually, the efficiency and technology of the industry are very low; especially labor productivity is extremely low, which doesn’t fit the industry scale and impairs international competitiveness of construction industry. Thus, topic on how to improve construction industry labor productivity is to the point of the development. The paper carries on a study on construction industry labor productivity, which is based on fundamental information of construction industry, combined with academy and mathematical statistics.The paper first takes use of relevant data from statistic websites, then goes on a quantitative analysis, from various perspectives, on current situation of construction industry labor productivity by Excel. It mainly includes overall development of construction industry in recent 20 years, comparisons with 6 developed countries and four major industries, inter-comparison within China’s 31 provinces. Base on C-D production function, this article had break down labor productivity. Refining the effect of construction labor productivity in three aspects:technological progress, capital investment, labor input. Based on theoretical analysis and empirical analysis and through Eviews, building the multiple linear regression equation of factors affecting labor productivity in the construction industry, analyzing the impact of various factors on labor productivity. The results show that increasing the number of construction workers wages has the greatest impact on labor productivity, technological progress and capital investment less impact on labor productivity increase.Additionally, this article tries to find a suitable method for the construction industry labor productivity forecast, so the government and construction companies can be adjusted according to changes in raw elements in advance of labor productivity. After the relevant forecasting method introduced, taking into account the production activities in the construction industry, the relationship between factors and whether all possible linear, the traditional forecasting methods may have established limitations. This article introduced RBF network prediction among construction industry labor productivity, through the collection of historical data, establishing the forecasting model of labor productivity which is based on RBF. And verify the validity of the model, achieving the short-term forecast of labor productivity in construction industry.Finally, based on the factors affecting labor productivity from the empirical results, this article proposed to improve the labor productivity of China’s construction proposal.
