Research On The Impact Of Labor Productivity Upon Project Labor Cost

As an important sector of our country’s economy,construction industry is experiencing a rapid development period.As a labor-intensive industries,the rapid growth of the construction industry has also benefited from China’s abundant and cheap labor advantage.Along with the increase of labor costs,labor productivity has been improved.But how much the labor productivity has been increased,and what kind of effect on the total labor cost,these question are still can’t be answered.Through a lot of literature research,the author found that a lot of study about labor productivity are mainly from the industry level which analyze its influencing factors,but study on the the project levels of labor productivity growth and the influence to the project cost haven’t been studied yet.The thesis firstly introduce the conception of construction industry labor productivity and the commonly used expression,in clear of the basic concepts of labor productivity and object of the thesis,the author put forward the improved method for calculating the actual labor productivity.The author use the grubs way and interval estimation method to analyses the construction data and finally get the actual labor productivity result,compared to the result from the improved methods of the thesis,the results are similar,verified the improved the labor productivity calculation method is practical.The thesis calculate labor productivity based on the method of three frame structure engineering example which from the earthworks,scaffolding engineering,template engineering,building engineering,concrete engineering,steel engineering,plastering engineering and so on for the degree of the improvement of labor productivity,the results found that these engineering save the most productivity such as concrete engineering,steel engineering,template engineering degree of labor productivity.The project labor cost calculation results show that compared with the budget cost,under the condition of the labor price rise,the labor cost does not increase.Results show that when the labor price rise,the labor productivity is rising accordingly,and labor productivity growth to offset part of labor unit price growth,so labor costs will be reduced.In order to study the influence of the actual productivity to labor cost,the author first put forward the calculation formula of labor cost,and improved the formula based on the thesis.In the case of a part of the object can’t be determined the real number,the author introduce the ascertain number model,and then get the formula model of actual labor productivity to labor cost,in a project if the budget man-days is know,the actual labor costs can be calculated accordingly.In understanding of influence of the labor productivity’s growth to labor costs,this article proposed three proposal to the improvement of labor productivity measures which from "improve the level of technology","improve the level of labor","perfect management information" and other measures.
