| In recent years, there are substantial number of Chinese enterprises across the regions. However, some of those are required to increase market capacities whether in terms of management or operation in order to meet the purpose of expanding the scale of business. In Laos, foreign enterprise play an important role in Lao economy. Those occupy a large amount of market share domestically. Within that, Chinese enterprises has contributed to the growth of economics in Laos in some extents. The major results seem to be the rapid development of the country economy and the livelihood of locals. With regards to the fact that local economy in Laos does require assistance especially for infrastructure field in order to provide a better living condition for locals. However, Chinese enterprises in Laos do have issues of management for example, operation and management of the industry some is too concentrated in the field of resources; a small number of Chinese companies or individuals who invest in Laos have the phenomenon of illegal business and illegal employment; a general lack of communication and willingness to communicate with the media, the difference between enterprise culture and human resource management difficulties. In this paper, based on cross-cultural management theory and enterprise theory of international investment of Chinese enterprises in Laos for the operation and management of the history and current situation, influencing factors and existing problems, using the SWOT analysis method to study Chinese enterprises in Laos, management advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and challenges. On the basis of this, given the corresponding countermeasures and suggestion to promote Chinese enterprises in Laos ’s management further strengthen and expand. This paper is divided into six chapters:The first chapter commence from the introduction part, this chapter mainly elaborates the research background, the significance, the mentality, the method use, the analysis of the domestic and foreign research review, the propose of the innovation and deficiency of the paper;The second chapter is the theoretical basis of the international investment theory, the enterprise internationalization management theory and the enterprise cross cultural management theory for the theoretical basis for the empirical analysis;The third chapter based on the analysis of the history and current situation of Chinese enterprises in Laos; discusses the influencing factors and existing problems of Chinese enterprises in Laos;The fourth chapter uses SWOT analysis method. The strengths and weaknesses, the opportunities and threats on Chinese enterprises are studied from two aspects of the internal and external environment;The fifth chapter include problems, disadvantages and challenges of Chinese enterprises in Laos, gives the corresponding countermeasures from the government level and enterprise level respectively.The last chapter is the conclusion of the thesis, which summarizes the viewpoints of the whole thesis. |
