In recent years, the earth’s ecological system by the impact of human activities, and land use change is mainly embodied in the space-time evolution of urban LUCC. Pengzhou is one of the nation hundred strongly has the investment potential small and medium-sized cities, with the development of social economy in recent years, great changes have taken place in pengzhou city LUCC. In this paper, based on RS and GIS technology to pengzhou long phase,multiple spatial data as data sources, the extraction and analysis of pengzhou city of LUCC in 2002-2010,the last of pengzhou environment-friendly land use pattern is studied, to reveal eight years pengzhou LUCC, extension,and the change of the urban environment conditions,provide the basis for scientific development. Main conclusions are as follows:(1)During 2002-2010 in pengzhou, dramatic changes have taken place in the land use type ofstructure of arable land and urban construction land change is bigger,the cultivated land reduced 71.4km~2, eight years less per year on average 8.93 km~2, urban construction land increased 53.19 km~2, anaverage annual increase of 6.65 km~2.(2) In 2002-2010, pengzhou degree of LUCC in the period of pengzhou LUCC intensive degree since 2002 has a tendency to rise, the phenomenon of tension of land used for urban construction land is, the main strength of extension and the fastest is the east, west and south, the northern extension slower(3) The pengzhou land use pattern is given priority to with agricultural land use pattern, industrial land use pattern and urban construction land use pattern is complementary.
