Chinese economy has entered a New Norm of low increasing rate, multinational companies have suffered the labor cost increase and fierce competition in China. The operating environment is becoming more complex. If a company want to survive in the competitive environment, they have to strengthen the long term win-win partner relationship with their suppliers in up & down stream. Strategic sourcing help purchase department switching the role from traditional Cost Centre to Profit Centre, and it is a powerful tool to improve the competitive advantage of the company.Subcontract Labor Sourcing Management is a key part of Engineering Project Sourcing, which impact the successful implementation and profit of the project. Study on improving subcontract labor sourcing management with strategic sourcing methodology is a good guidance and reference for Chinese companies especially the construction companies. This essay is about the study on improving the subcontract labor sourcing from perspective of strategic sourcing considering the practice of ZH Company. The author introduced the basic strategic sourcing requirements and proposed solutions for improving the subcontract labor sourcing management based on the findings from current practices. Hope it can provide support and reference for the subcontract labor sourcing management in Chinese companies.
