Research On Sourcing Management Of International Business In L Corporation

Subcontract program is not only an important trade method for Chinese aero-engine manufacturing industry to be involved in the world aviation manufacture field, but also a typical trade type in international aviation industry. Enterprises can learn a lot of overseas advanced aero-engine manufacturing technology and various effective management methods in subcontract business. Introduction and utilization of standardized project management methodology to optimize all aspects of project management is a significant way for enterprises to expand subcontract program and acquire more international advanced technology.Sourcing management is a relatively pre-positive and critical part in project management. With the need to expand subcontract program, material sourcing has become crucial to ensure a normal project operation. While in procurement of a variety of raw materials, we often encounter different problems which affect the development of a company's project in sourcing planning, supplier selection, raw material supply cycle, commodity payment, logistics and transportation and other sectors. Therefore, research on how to apply standardized sourcing management in subcontract program to improve a company's existing procurement processes plays a realistic impelling role in the company's actual work and also becomes an imperative requirement for the development of a company's subcontract program.This thesis analyzes the procurement processes and specific operations in L corporation and compiles its internal sourcing factors. Characteristics and difficulties the procurement processes faced is summarized through actual operation situation. The thesis also discusses the rationality of procurement processes by way of international standardized sourcing management theory; finds out problems in existing processes and proposes improvement suggestions. Primary study is made on how to deal with problems the company has confronted and how to face complicated procurement environment in international market. It emphasizes the basic quality of procurement staff, aiming at ultimately establishing a procurement process which can maximize the company's sourcing efficiency and meet the needs of costs reduction to ensure the normal operation of subcontract program and expansion of the development scale of the company.
