With the advent of the information age of the 21 st century, China’s electronic information industry has made rapid development, realizing a historic span from the new industry to the pillar industry, which has made a giant contribution to Chinese core technology and economic development. At the same time, the import and export of electronic information products has played an irreplaceable role in Chinese international trade. In 2014, the amount of Chinese electronic information product exports has reached 7897 billion dollar, accounting for 33.5% in the country ’s total export volume. However, we have to notice that there is an increase of only 1.2% in the export amount of Chinese electronic information products compared to the same period during last year, and the total amount of import and export was reduced, which is the other negative growth besides the first one in 2009. Although Chinese economic development turns to a moderate growth from a rapid growth, what made the growth of electronic information products export slowed down and the negative growth of import and export should not be ignored. This makes it pretty significant to study the factors affecting China’s exports of electronic information products, and how to improve the competitiveness of electronic information products in international market. In this paper, the development history of China’s electronic information industry is introduced firstly, and the reasons for the rapid development of Chinese electronic information industry are illustrated. This thesis illustrates the current situation of Chinese electronic information products export from the perspective of export scale, export structure, export trade, etc. It finds that China’s electronic information products export’s rate has been slowed down in recent years, and the exports mainly concentrated in the products of low added value of labor intensive. There are also another problems such as the high degree of market concentration, excessive dependence on foreign investment. Based on this, this paper mainly selects four competitiveness index, and compare them with those in another countries to acquire the gap between China and another developed countries. In general, its exportcompetitiveness is gradually increased, but the competitiveness of product segments with technological intensive type is still relatively weak. This thesis selects five factors of the R & D intensity, labor productivity, enterprise number, degree of industrial concentration, and exchange rate on the basis of the comprehensive evaluation system of the industrial competitiveness and Porter’s diamond, uses software eviews7.0 to carry on the regression analysis. The empirical analysis results show that the enterprise number, labor productivity and the R & D intensity affect the of electronic information products export most significantly, besides, exchange rate had negative effects on the competitiveness of electronic information products export competition. Finally, this thesis put forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the export competitiveness of Chinese electronic information products on the basis of the above analysis results.
