With the development of science and technology and the continuous deepening of the research on the supply chain,the possibility of remote access to information in the Internet and the call to the logistics resource is greatly increased.Many distributed systems can be effectively combined in a geographical location,in order to achieve greater economies of scale.In this environment,the concept of virtual inventory management arises at the historic moment.Virtual inventory translate enterprise’s physical inventory into information on the basis of advanced information technology,and share everything in the whole system,in order to reduce the cost of enterprise inventory. In the mode of virtual inventory management,inventory may be lent, borrowed, or traded,and can be flexibly merged, allocated and configured.But for the building material supply chain,because of its particularity,the sudden demand for building materials is larger,relying solely on traditional virtual inventory management can’t solve all the problems.In this paper,we discuss about the three logistics system consist of one manufacturer,one dealer and many customers,based on the particularity of the construction material consumption being slowly,study the inventory and distribution coordination optimization problem based on the virtual inventory management.First of all,combine with virtual inventory management and building materials supply chain,put forward the idea that allocate the building material among customers,and discuss on its feasibility and necessity.Secondly,under the premise of analyzing the cost constitution of building material supply chain,build a collaborative optimization model of inventory and distribution based on the minimum cost of the whole supply chain is established,and solve it by genetic algorithm.At last,simulate the example whit Matlab Software,finish verifying the correctness and validity of the model,and get the minimum cost of the supply chain and the corresponding allocation scheme.
