In the process of economic and social modernization, urbanization is an important source to promote social and economic development. In the development of the urbanization process, as an important factor affecting the development of the transportation infrastructure has been the focus of concern of the people. It is generally believed that the development of transportation infrastructure will reduce the cost of transportation and promote the population flow to a certain extent, so as to promote the process of urbanization. However, due to the imbalance of regional development, how to better according to the actual development level of the region to study the impact of transportation infrastructure on the urbanization, it is very important. This paper mainly through three perspectives on the influence of transport infrastructure on Urbanization:1, the use of time series global principal component analysis method to construct the integrated index system of urbanization, calculate 15 years provinces integrated towns of score level and the overall level of the East, the middle and the west is to explore three areas Urbanization development the real difference.2, through the measurement equation based on the traffic infrastructure and the level of urbanization in the region, to discuss the influence of traffic infrastructure in the area of urbanization.3, in the traffic infrastructure and the level of urbanization in the measurement equation, the introduction of spatial econometric model to explore the spatial spillover effects of urban transport infrastructure. In this paper, the theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, a more in-depth study of how the transportation infrastructure affects the process of urbanization.Through the empirical analysis found that:1, the town level to establish an index system, we derive the based on the index system of regional urbanization level scores, compared with each other after the discovery, nearly 15 years the urbanization level of Eastern, central and western regions are in upward trend, which the level of urbanization of the eastern region highest, the rate of rise is the fastest. In recent years, the urbanization rate in western region decreased, behind the eastern region and central region.2, through the test, the data of the three regions established fixed effect model, transportation infrastructure and urbanization development has a significant positive effect, namely the development of transport infrastructure can promote the process of urbanization, and this positive effect in the eastern Midwest was decreasing. 3, in the spatial spillover effects of the traffic infrastructure, we find that the coefficients in the eastern and central regions of space weight matrix are very significant, indicating that in the eastern and central regions of transport infrastructure of cities and towns the process of spatial spillover effect, if we ignore this effect, will be too high for the estimation of traffic infrastructure for the influence of urbanization. In the western region, the spatial spillover effect is not significant. After careful consideration, I think this study has the following innovations:1, this paper uses the provincial panel data, before such studies most of the time series or section data and panel data also contains time and section two latitudes, the result is more objective.2, through a comprehensive index system to measure the level of urbanization in the region. To avoid the use of a single indicator to measure the level of urbanization in the one-sided.3, in the transportation infrastructure of urbanization influence, but also consider the transportation infrastructure of the urbanization spatial spillover effects, the introduction of the frontier of spatial econometric models, and compared with the results of traditional econometric model.
