Research On The Interactive And Coordinated Development Between Tourism Industry And New Urbanization

At the end of 2014, Chinese urbanization rate has reached 54.77%, which marked the construction of Chinese urbanization walking into a critical period of deepening reform and development. At the same time, our country also faces many problems and challenges in the process of Urbanization. Such as the lack of industrial power at a later stage, the population urbanization, blind Land Urbanization, three rural issues, ecological problems and so on. Urbanization development needs to change from speed to quality, that is the new urbanization. On the other hand, the contribution of tourism industry to the national economy can not be denied. Because of its industrial relevance, low carbon and environmental protection, and a large number of employment opportunities, the local government has paid more attention to tourism industry. So far, there are 28 provinces positioning the tourism industry as a strategic pillar industry. Tourism has become an important driving force of economic growth in the new normal. The relationship between tourism industry and urbanization is very close, which runs through their whole process of the interactive development. The integration and coordinated development of urbanization and tourism industry is helpful to solve a series of problems in the process of urbanization construction and tourism industry development.This paper selects 27 key tourist cities of China as the research samples, BY analyzing the interaction mechanism between the tourism industry and the new urbanization, I establish the indicators of the tourism industry and the new urbanization. By using the coupling model and the coordinated development model, I study the interactive and coordinated development of the tourism industry and the new urbanization in China.In this paper, the following conclusions are drawn. Firstly, the coordination status of tourist cities’ tourism industry and new urbanization is gradually improving, but overall coordination level is relatively low. Most of the tourist city’s tourism industry and new urbanization development is still in a state of disharmony. Second, the development of tourism cities in China is mostly due to the tourism industrylagging behind the new urbanization. Thirdly, there is a big gap in different tourism cities, and the harmonious development of tourist cities is extremely unbalanced. Generally speaking, the coordination level and the coordinated growth rate of the higher administrative level tourism cities are higher than other tourist cities.Fourth, based on the conclusion, the tourist cities in China are divided into four types in this paper: tourism industry guiding the coordinated interaction type, the urbanization guiding the coordinated interaction type, the lag of tourism industry in the interactive disorder type, the lag of urbanization in the interactive disorder type. At last, I analyze the characteristics of the four types.At the end of this paper, according to the conclusions, I put forward some policy recommendations: the government planning should consider combining the tourism industry with urbanization. Promote tourism supply side reforms. Make full use of the function of urban culture. Government support is very necessary.
