Study On The Employment Of Returned Rural Migrant Workers In Henan Province And The Countermeasures From The Perspective Of Vocational Education And Training

The returning of the rural migrant workers is a kind of "backward flow" employment phenomenon which happened during the combing process between rural migrant workers and means of production in the labor market, it’s also a kind of employment choice made by the migrant worker individual when considered his employment willingness and employment ability. The "backward flow" employment phenomenon not only affects the career development of the rural migrant workers directly, also a profound impact on the migrant labor-export regions. This paper called the rural migrant workers who returned from the labor input city to the labor output city "returned rural migrant workers (RRMW)". Researchers have found that the study about the impact factors of backward flow from the perspective of Economics and Sociology has relatively been rich by collecting relevant literature, while the attention on the current employment situation and career development is slightly thin.What’s the current employment situation of the returned rural migrant workers? Which kinds of career development demands do they have? What can Vocational Education and Training (VET) do to provide service and assistance for them? With these problems, the returned rural migrant workers as the main research object and the empirical research as the main research method, this paper studied the current employment situation and career development demands of this group. A preliminary understanding has been achieved by collecting relevant literature. The initial interview has given a chance to understand the employment and daily life of this group. The analysis results of the questionnaire data showed the current employment situation clearly. As for the typical objects, additional interviews have been applied to analysis the problems and demands during their career development. Finally, some service and assistance strategies against the problems and the demands have been put forward from the perspective of Vocational Education and Training.This study is divided into the following sections. First chapter is introduction, including research origin, research significance, literature review and research design. Literature research as the main research methods, this chapter outlines the theory and practice research results on the current employment situation of the returned rural migrant workers and the impact factors of backward flow. The second chapter introduces the research process, including the selection of the research object, the organization of the research tools, data collection and sorting, the testing on the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. The third chapter showed the current employment situation of the group by analyzing the questionnaire data, including the employment field, employment modes, degree of employment satisfaction, puzzle in obtaining employment. The fourth chapter showed the different demands during their career development by combining quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis, including the different expected level of career development before returning and the different demands for the future career development after returning. Based on the demands, the fifth chapter put forward some service and assistance strategies from the perspective of Vocational Education and Training. Finally is the conclusion and expectation. A review of the research content, a generalization of the research conclusion, a reflection of the research space, and the future research direction is put forward.
