As long as the increa singly advance of interes t rate l iberal iz ati on and the continuous reform of financing m ode,the profitabili ty of commercia l banks’ conventi onal business i s decreasing gr adually. At the same time,commercial banks begin to pay attention to retail business due to the prom pt growth of residents’ individual wealth and state macro poli cy orientation. In such situation,most dom estic commercial banks focus on their “sm all and micro busi ness” directe d to such compani es and “com munity business” directed to residents and surrounding businesses at neighborhood to break the bot tle neck of development. M S Bank is the first nati onwide commercial bank founded by private capital i n China,and the developm ent of its “sm all and mi cro business”and “comm unity business” keeps the leadi ng position among domestic peers. However,as the domestic small and micro finance and community finance s till stay at the pri mary stage,and such business has inevitable risks,the development of such two small bus iness of MS Bank is encounter ing impediment. How to brea k through the existing restrai ning conditions,and how to fulfill the further development of two sm all business are subjects required to be dis cuss and solve not only for MS Bank but also for most domestic commercial banks.This paper focuses the research on MS Bank,enhances t he analysis on the developm ent situation and ex isting problems of it s “small and micro business”and“comm unity busi ness”,learns from the experienc es of international comm erci al banks’ retail business development,and put s forward ex pansion resolut ions and suggestions for M S Bank’s“small and mi cro business”and “community busi ness”based on it to provide MS Bank with suggestion on further consol idat ion of the advanced place of its “ small and micro business”and “com munity business” among peers,as well as provide other domestic commercial banks wit h referenc e of devel opment of two small business. The paper is composed of six sect ions: Secti on 1 s tat es t he research background,meaning; Section 2 introduces global and internati onal research s ituationof commerc ial bank retai l business and the related theories of commerc ial bank retail business,small and micro finance and community finance; Section 3 performs overa ll analys is on the development of our national comm erci al bank retai l business retail business,and then m akes research on the progress of MS Bank ’s retai l business,especially two small business and draws conclusi on on its business developm ent particularities; S ection 4 studi es the exis ting probl ems and cause of MS Ba nk’s “small and mi cro busi ness ” and “community business”; Section 5 analyz es the developm ent situation of retail business of US Wells Fargo Ba nk in det ail, then grasps the retail business ex perience of India commercial banks and HongKong commercial banks on the whole, and based on those experiences, suggesti ons for the development of Chines e commercial banks on ret ail bus iness will be obtained; Final Sect ion puts forward opinions on the expansion of MS Bank’s “s mal l and micro busi ness” and“comm unity busi ness” on basis of the mentioned anal ysis resul ts of MS Bank’s current development and experience conclusion of global and domesti c commercial banks retail business.
