Research On The Sustainable Development Of Rural Tourism Under The Background Of New Urbanization

In the context of new-type urbanization, the third industry has become the main force of urbanization. As the most related sunrise industry among third industries, tourism has been given more attention. Rural tourism is the most important part to promote the development of county economy, especially the rural economy and it is also the important tool for breaking the urban-rural dual structure, and accelerating urban-rural co-ordination as well as harmony between urban areas and rural areas.This dissertation analyzes the coupling relationship between new-type urbanization and rural tourism through review of literature resources. Based on the in-depth investigation of the condition of rural tourism in the counties and districts of Yantai Municipality, the author tries to build a dynamic mechanism model for Yantai’s rural tourism development under the background of new-type urbanization through field survey and quantitative analysis. It also makes a evaluation on the main forces of every county and district’s rural tourism by principal component analysis method. It also summarizes five main models of Yantai’s rural tourism under the guidance of different motive power.The main body of the paper is divided into six parts. The first part is an illustration of the new-type urbanization’s practical and theoretical background, as well as the writer’s ideas, methods and routes. The second part elaborates the coupling relationship between new-type urbanization and rural tourism, presenting new-type urbanization’s requirements for rural tourism by defining the concepts of new-type urbanization and rural tourism. The third part illustrates the history and related theories of the development of rural tourism at home and abroad. The fourth part mainly discusses the dynamic mechanism and mode for rural tourism development, establishing its index system. The motive power for Yantai’s rural tourism is analyzed through principal component analysis and the leading power of it is also analyzed. The typical patterns of Yantai Municipality’s rural tourism under the guidance of various leading power is also summed up. The fifth part establishes evaluation factors and the weight of the index system for the rurality of rural tourism resources through hierarchical analysis method from the current situation of the development of rural tourism in Yantai. The rurality of rural tourism resources is calculated and analyzed, the stratified evaluation and comprehensive evaluation also being given. Based on the above analysis,the sixth part proposes some problems existing in the rural tourism of Yantai Municipality, and tries to put forward countermeasures for sustainable development of Yantai Municipality’s rural tourism under the background of new-type urbanization.
