Study On The Development And Countermeasures Of Modern Characteristic Agriculture In Lingshan County

Lingshan county is a large agricultural county that has the geographical advantage of " back to the southwest and facing the southeast". This county has rich agricultural resources, so developing the modern characteristic agriculture becomes its breakthrough and an important strategy. Also, its characteristic planting and breeding industries have taken shape. Under this background, firstly, this paper introduced the theoretical basis related to the modern characteristic agriculture; then, this paper comprehensively evaluated the development of its agriculture and studied its problems by building the evaluation model; and finally, this paper put forward strategies of improving the development of its characteristic agriculture.This paper adopted the literature analysis method, field research method and expert interview method to study the development situation of the modern characteristic agriculture in Lingshan County. The results were as follows. Lingshan county had favorable positional conditions and its development of society and agriculture is stable and improving. Its important characteristic planting like lichees, bananbas, tea leaves, vanilla, dairy buffaloes, snakes and flavored chicken had a certain scale. However, its low input, commodity rate of characteristic products and technological level limited its development.This paper adopted the analytic hierarchy method to build the evaluation model of the development of the characteristic agriculture in Lingshan county and comprehensively evaluated the development of its agriculture. The results were as follows. Firstly, the comprehensive evaluation of the development of its agriculture was 71.95, which was higher than the general level. Secondly, with the comparative analysis of weight factors, the order of these factors that limited the development of its agriculture were competitive factors, complementary factors, resource factors, basic factors and development factors respectively, whose weights were 0.398,0.254,0.141,0.118 and 0.089 respectively. Competitive and complementary factors were main factors. Thirdly, with the analysis of results of index quantification, key factors that limited its modern characteristic agriculture were the commercial rate of characteristic agricultural products, agricultural resources, ecological environment as well as technological, agricultural input and output levels.This paper found that the modern characteristic agriculture in Lingshan county continued to develop, but there were some problems. Firstly, the commercial rate was low and the marketing system was insufficient. Secondly, the further processing was not enough and it was lack of the brand effects. Thirdly, the agricultural mechanization and industrialization levels were low. Fourthly, the government didn’t give enough support. Finally, it was without the scientific management. Therefore, based on these problems, this paper put forward some suggestions in order to enhance the development of its modern characteristic agriculture. To begin with, Lingshan county should improve the commercial rate and perfect the marketing system. Next, this county should strengthen the further processing and play the brand effects. Then, this county should advance the agricultural mechanization and industrialization development. Finally, the government should perfect the operational management system.
