Along with the development of economic society, rapid expansion of capital and constant emergence of major transnational enterprises, social responsibility of enterprises that includes a series of social issues like labor problem, environmental problem and human rights has become the world focus. In this process, enterprises should not only realize their economic target but also should undertake relevant social duty. Rich minerals in Inner Mongolia breed numerous enterprises of mining industry. It is also an important resource supplying place of China and its mining enterprises play vital role in rapid growth of economy. For production modes of mining enterprises can be mainly divided into excavation of mineral resources and primary processing, ecological environment is damaged in the process of production, so enterprises should be responsible for protection and restoration of environment. Workers at the production line of enterprisers operate in dangerous work condition and enterprises shall also take responsibility of safety and health of employees. But currently, social duty of our mining enterprises is seriously absent and accident of mine disaster and environmental pollution has bad social influence on society.In the paper, enterprise social responsibility was defined and stakeholder theory was introduced with industrial characteristics and features of Mongolian region. Social responsibility of mining enterprises in Mongolia was identified as enterprise responsibility for shareholders, staffs, environment, public benefit and government and customers. Performance status of mining enterprise social responsibility in our region was analyzed and it found out that mining enterprises of our region had problems like absence of environmental responsibility and staff responsibility and presentation difference among enterprises. Reasons for these problems include insufficient external restraint in the performance of responsibility, insufficient internal execution and absence of regulatory evaluation system and scanty enterprise responsibility consciousness.
