Consumption is an important part of social reproduction process, plays an important role in production, distribution and exchange.In a socialist society, the consumption is the purpose of social production, and promote the progress of social civilization.At present, China’s economic growth slowed, so must be taken to correct economic policy, expand the residents’ consumption, develop the role of the consumer in the economic development, realize the coordinated development of production and consumption.Expanding the consumer can through various channels, among them, the release of migrant workers consumption potential is an important way.Migrant workers is our country in the process of industrialization and urbanization, a special social group across the urban and rural areas, greater contribution for the economic development of our country, affected by factors such as income level, the research shows mat peasant workers’ consumption level is not high as a whole.Along with the development of the era, migrant workers inside a generational change, early ageing migrant worker age, a new generation of migrant workers into the stage of social development, has become China’s economic construction a force to be reckoned with.Due to different background, new generation of migrant workers in the cultural level, life concept and behavior are presented and the older generation of migrant workers on the group characteristics of different on consumer behavior is also different from the older generation of migrant workers.Currently, expand rural migrant workers must understand the peasant workers’ consumption behavior characteristic of the new changes, the correct understanding migrant workers within the intergenerational difference, to have to take effective measures.In order to understand the generation of the consumer behavior differences between rural migrant workers to expand consumption to provide theoretical reference for migrant workers, in this paper, based on the theory of political economics, consumer economics, to investigate the consumption status of migrant workers in Hefei, the comparative study on the new and old two generations of migrant workers as well as the similarities and differences of consumer behavior and its influencing factors.Paper content mainly includes:the first chapter, first of all, the current situation of economy in China put forward in the introduction of research background, and then introduce the research purpose and meaning and the research content and methods;The second chapter, on foreign consumption behavior on behalf of the theory are briefly introduced, a summary of domestic migrant workers consumer behavior research, in reference to domestic scholars for migrant workers based on consumer behavior research, the article of "migrant workers", "the first generation of migrant workers", "new generation migrant workers", and consumption of related concept definition, provide theoretical groundwork for further study;The third chapter, based on the analysis of basic features of the sample, using the data from the survey for the new and old compare two generation of rural migrant workers in consumer behavior.The fourth chapter, using the survey data analysis further lead to new and old two generations of migrant workers consumer behavior differences between the two aspects of individual and social factors, the concrete from age, culture level, value concept, reference groups, growth environment and the policy system of six aspects analysis;The fifth chapter, in view of the different features of the new and old two generation of rural migrant workers in consumer behavior, put forward some policy Suggestions on expanding peasant workers’ consumption.
